SistaCoach Program

Here in San Joaquin County and across the U.S., Black/African American moms and babies are dying at an alarming rate, much more often than those from other ethnic groups.

At Delta Health Care, we understand mother’s experience during and after pregnancy affects their health and their baby’s. For well over 10 years Delta Health Care has worked to address the unique needs of Black/African American mothers by providing support through our African American Breastfeeding groups. We are proud to now also provide individualized support through our new SistaCoach program! Funded through the Public Health Services Perinatal Equity Initiative, the DHC SistaCoach program is a branch of our Health Education department and is a Personal Support Advocate program.
